1. Question: What is the Gospel?
Answer: Jesus Christ had said to His disciples to go and to preach the gospel to all nations. The gospel is really the good news that Jesus is the resurrected Lord, the Son of God, the One with the power to offer Eternal Life. The apostle Paul will explain what the gospel is in the following scriptures:
- Romans 1: 14-17 (The gospel is The power of God for Salvation)
- 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 (Saved by the gospel, the gospel described))
- Acts 2: 22-24 (The gospel, the good news of Jesus' resurrection, is first presented in Jerusalem through the apostle Peter, preaching in the day of Pentecost)
2. Question: Does the Bible say Jesus is God?
Answer: Jesus, during His ministry, gave proof of being “The image of God” in human form. God's love, wisdom and power was demonstrated by “signs and wonders” performed by Jesus Christ. These proofs verified the authority and authenticity of Jesus Christ.
- John 1: 1-4, 14 “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him.... And the Word became Flesh”
- Hebrews 1: 3 “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power"
- Hebrews 1: 8 “But of the Son He says, Thy throne o God is forever and ever...”
- Hebrews 1: 9 “...Therefore God, Thy God hath anointed Thee"
3. Question: Did Jesus say He is the way to the Resurrection?
Answer: Jesus said of Himself, “I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14: 1-6)
- John 11: 25,26“...I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die...”
- 1 John 5: 12,13 “He that has the Son has the life and he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things have I written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.”
4. Question: What is the Great Commission?
Answer: After Jesus' resurrection, He commissioned the apostles to go into all the world and to preach the gospel. These apostles obeyed the Lord's command to reach out to a lost humanity with His message of good news.
- Matthew 28: 18-20 (Go into all the world)
- Mark 16: 14-16 (Go and preach the gospel to all nations)
- Luke 24: 44-48 (Go to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem)
- Acts 1: 8 (From Jerusalem and all Judea, Samaria, remotest parts of the world)
- Acts 8: 25 (They went preaching the gospel to many villages in Samaria)
- Acts 8: 40 (They went preaching the gospel to all the cities)
- The apostle Paul had three missionary journeys through the Roman empire,

First Journey begins in Acts chapter 13 and following.

Second Journey in Acts 15: 36 and following.

Third Jouney begins in Acts Chapter 18: 23 and following
- Colossians 1: 23 “.... The hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven....”
5. Question: Is obedience to the Word of God necessary to receive salvation?
Answer: The Scriptures teach that obedience was a demonstration of faith. When a person became a Christian, it was understood that the commitment to follow Jesus was for life. This commitment is not a burden, on the contrary, it is a relief, it is comfort which lasts our entire lifetime.
- Acts 5: 29-32 “The Holy Spirit was given to those that obey Him....”
- Romans 6: 17,18 “we were freed by obeying that form of teaching...”
- 2 Corinthians 9: 13 “for you obedience to your confession of the gospel..”
- 2 Thessalonians 2: 5-10 “judgement will come upon those who do not obey the gospel...”
- 1 Peter 4: 16,17 “Judgement for not obeying the gospel...”
The sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of man was costly. The Son of God paid the price as the Lamb of God. The lack of belief to His message means that a person considers God's message and this sacrifice to be untrue, and God's means of forgiveness is not accepted.
6. Question: Can a person be deceived and not be able to see the truth of God's word?
Answer: This can only occur when a person has no interest in God's message and refuses to consider the possibility that God message of salvation is true. When a person closes the mind to the message of God and His truth, and chooses to believe what they want to believe.
- 2 Corinthians 4: 3,4 “the gospel is veiled for those who are perishing... the god of this world has blinded the minds...that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God”
- 2 Thessalonians 2: 7-12, “ The mystery of lawlessness is at hand, the coming of the activity of Satan with all deception, people perish because they did not have the love of the truth so as to be saved, God allowed them to believe a deluding influence so they might believe what is false, for they chose not to believe the truth”
